Beach yoga

Every last Wednesday of the month May-September 2024

An accessible yoga class for all levels. The lesson is taught by 2 teachers, so different levels can be taught without losing the flow of the lesson.

  • Bring your own mat or towel and don't forget your sunscreen.

  • Wear layers of clothing.

  • Meet at 9:00 am on the beach at Strandafslag 2 (Beach Club Birds), 2555 ZZ THE HAGUE ( Kijkduin). You can park here for free.

During the seasonal Full Joy workshop we celebrate the longest day of the year in an accessible way with summer vibes, rituals and dance. The evening is all about zest for life and abundance, where we embrace the warm energy of summer together. With relaxed meditation, exuberant Ecstatic Dance and a closing meditation, we invite participants to be themselves, let go and make room for renewal.

A crucial aspect of awareness is learning to meditate, which allows us to experience our body better, learn to recognize signals and respect our boundaries for more comfort and well-being during the day. After exploring conscious feeling, we delve into sitting still, closely linked to meditation, which focuses on simply being present with what is there, accompanied by acceptance and gentleness.

Discover the importance of loosening exercises in preparation for intensive activities, which move all joints, stretch muscles and stimulate blood circulation. During the workshop we explore various ranges of release exercises, including standing, sitting and lying, focusing on specific yoga postures. Learn how to develop individual sequences, tailored to personal needs and complaints, to facilitate implementation through recognition of your body routine.
